University of Nottingham - 23rd & 24th June 2025
Our 4th annual hybrid conference will be hosted by Leia Boote and Alex Impedovo at the University of Nottingham.
#ECA25 will take place on Monday 23rd and Tuesday 24th June 2025.
Our theme this year is 'Anatomy Unbound: Integrating Disciplines & Connecting Generations'.
Things in Jars: A Potted History of Fluid Preservation in Anatomical Collections
Simplifying Embryology: A Hands-On Workshop for Effective Teaching
with Naila Ali & Maria Chalasti
Mentoring Made Easy: Practical Skills for Early Career Educators
with Dr Munesh Khamuani & Dr Muhammad Aasin Rasheed
Building the Body: Hands-On MSK Anatomy with DIY Skeletons
with Ms Natasha Noel-Barker & Dr Rudi Billeter-Clark
After the first day of the conference, there will be 2 organised socials in the evening.
From 4pm, we will have an ECA (Pub) Quiz!
After a day of discussing the body, it's time to test the mind! Gather or join a team for our social, light-hearted, pub-style quiz with (almost) no anatomy questions, but ones that test both your left AND right brain!
Then from 7:30pm, we have our dinner and drinks social!
The social will begin at Bella Italia, with a choice of 2 or 3 courses - Menu available at link below.
Please indicate if you are planning to attend the restaurant when you purchase your ticket.
After dinner, who knows where we will go, but all are welcome!

On Wednesday 25th June, just after ECA 25, another event our attendees may be interested in is taking place at the University of Nottingham.
It is the conference and launch event of Anatome, an initiative focus on inclusive anatomical education.
Aisia Lea, Anatome's Founder, previously presented about this initiative at ECA 24 in Sunderland - You can check it out here.
Aisia also discussed 'Taking Steps to Diversify Anatomical Education: A Student’s Perspective' for an ECA Webinar in October 2024.
If you're interested in attending this free event or submitting an abstract, you can find out more details at the link below.
Find out how to get to the conference and check out recommended hotels.
We recommend a hotel in the City Centre as you are better placed for the social activities and travelling to the Conference Venue, however a more limited number of hotels closer to the venue are also available.
